How much does a Bengal mongoose weight?

It is hard to guess what a Bengal mongoose weights. But we have the answer:

An adult Bengal mongoose (Herpestes palustris) on average weights 741 grams (1.63 lbs).

The Bengal mongoose is from the family Herpestidae (genus: Herpestes). When reaching adult age, they grow up to 30.8 cm (1′ 1″).

As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.

The Bengal mongoose (Herpestes javanicus palustris) is a subspecies of the Javan mongoose. It is also known as the marsh mongoose, not to be confused with Atilax paludinosus, which is also called the marsh mongoose. Other synonyms include Indian marsh mongoose and Bengali water mongoose.
