An adult Lion-tailed macaque (Macaca silenus) on average weights 6 kg (13.22 lbs).
The Lion-tailed macaque is from the family Cercopithecidae (genus: Macaca). It is usually born with about 417 grams (0.92 lbs). They can live for up to 40 years. When reaching adult age, they grow up to 54.7 cm (1′ 10″). Usually, Lion-tailed macaques have 1 babies per litter.
As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.
The lion-tailed macaque (Macaca silenus), or the wanderoo, is an Old World monkey endemic to the Western Ghats of South India.
