An adult Pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) on average weights 431.25 kg (950.74 lbs).
The Pygmy sperm whale is from the family Physeteridae (genus: Kogia). It is usually born with about 82 kg (180.78 lbs). They can live for up to 17 years. When reaching adult age, they grow up to 1.34 meter (4′ 5″).
As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.
The pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) is one of two extant species in the family Kogiidae in the sperm whale superfamily. They are not often sighted at sea, and most of what is known about them comes from the examination of stranded specimens.
