It is hard to guess what a Subantarctic fur seal weights. But we have the answer:
An adult Subantarctic fur seal (Arctocephalus tropicalis) on average weights 92.21 kg (203.29 lbs).
The Subantarctic fur seal is from the family Otariidae (genus: Arctocephalus). It is usually born with about 4.35 kg (9.59 lbs). They can live for up to 23 years. When reaching adult age, they grow up to 1.63 meter (5′ 4″). Usually, Subantarctic fur seals have 1 babies per litter.
As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.
The subantarctic fur seal (Arctocephalus tropicalis) is found in the southern parts of the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic Oceans. It was first described by Gray in 1872 from a specimen recovered in northern Australia—hence the inappropriate specific name tropicalis.
