It is hard to guess what a White-tailed mongoose weights. But we have the answer:
An adult White-tailed mongoose (Ichneumia albicauda) on average weights 3.66 kg (8.08 lbs).
The White-tailed mongoose is from the family Herpestidae (genus: Ichneumia). They can live for up to 12 years. When reaching adult age, they grow up to 57.3 cm (1′ 11″). Usually, White-tailed mongooses have 2 babies per litter.
As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.
The white-tailed mongoose (Ichneumia albicauda) is on average the largest species in the mongoose family (Herpestidae). It is the only member of the genus Ichneumia.
