How old does a Nabarlek get? (age expectancy)

What is the maximal age a Nabarlek reaches?

An adult Nabarlek (Petrogale concinna) usually gets as old as 17 years.

Nabarleks are around 31 days in the womb of their mother. When born, they weight 56 grams (0.12 lbs) and measure 1 cm (0′ 1″). As a member of the Macropodidae family (genus: Petrogale), a Nabarlek caries out around 1 little ones per pregnancy, which happens around 1 times a year. Fully grown, they reach a bodylength of 15.2 cm (0′ 6″).

As a reference: Usually, humans get as old as 100 years, with the average being around 75 years. After being carried in the belly of their mother for 280 days (40 weeks), they grow to an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″) and weight in at 62 kg (137 lbs), which is obviously highly individual.

The nabarlek, Petrogale concinna, is a tiny species of macropod found in northern Australia, a shy and nocturnal animal that resides in rocky hollows and forages in the surrounding area. The diet is grasses, sedges, and ferns found in and around their scrub covered refuges. They are distinguished by a reddish tinge to the mostly grey fur and a distinct stripe at the cheek. They move with great speed and agility when observed, with a forward leaning posture and a bushy tail that arches over the back.
