The Barbary sheep is from the family Bovidae (genus: Ammotragus). It is usually born with about 4.5 kg (9.92 lbs). They can live for up to 21 years. When reaching adult age, they grow up to 1.45 meter (4′ 10″). Usually, Barbary sheeps have 1 babies per litter.
As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.
The Barbary sheep (Ammotragus lervia) arrui or aoudad is a species of caprid native to rocky mountains in North Africa. Six subspecies have been described. Although it is rare in its native North Africa, it has been introduced to North America, southern Europe, and elsewhere. It is also known in the Berber language as awdad, waddan, arwi, and arrwis.
