It is hard to guess what a Mongoose lemur weights. But we have the answer:
An adult Mongoose lemur (Eulemur mongoz) on average weights 1.77 kg (3.9 lbs).
The Mongoose lemur is from the family Lemuridae (genus: Eulemur). It is usually born with about 59 grams (0.13 lbs). They can live for up to 30 years. When reaching adult age, they grow up to 35.4 cm (1′ 2″). On average, Mongoose lemurs can have babies 1 times per year with a litter size of 1.
As a reference: An average human weights in at 62 kg (137 lbs) and reaches an average size of 1.65m (5′ 5″). Humans spend 280 days (40 weeks) in the womb of their mother and reach around 75 years of age.
The mongoose lemur (Eulemur mongoz) is a small primate in the family Lemuridae, native to Madagascar and the Comoros Islands. These arboreal animals have pointed faces, long, bushy tails, dark-brown upper parts, pale bellies, and beards, which are reddish in males and white in females. They live in family groups and feed primarily on fruit, but also eat leaves, flowers, and nectar, with nectar from the kapok tree making up a large part of their diet during the dry season. They have declined sharply in numbers because of habitat destruction and hunting, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature has rated their conservation status as “critically endangered”.
